Cairo-based Egyptian state holding company, set up by presidential decree in 1983 as the Public Sector Authority for Metallurgical Industries. Its subsidiaries include El Nasr Mining, Egyptian Ferro Alloys, Misr Aluminum, Egyptian Copper Works, Delta Steel Mill and Iron and Steel for Mines and Quarries.
