Bridge Green signs eight-year recycled lithium carbonate deal with Hartree Partners
Battery recycler Bridge Green Upcycle agreed an eight-year deal, extendable by seven years, giving Hartree Partners exclusive marketing rights to about 10,000 tonnes a year of lithium carbonate from recycled batteries, with first volumes expected in 2028. Hartree also invested in Bridge Green, which operates in the United States and India and plans to fund facilities in both countries.

India receives 20 bids under its Rs 7,280 crore rare earth permanent magnet scheme
India's Ministry of Heavy Industries opened technical bids on 13 August 2026 after receiving 20 proposals to build integrated sintered rare earth permanent magnet plants, with bidders including Larsen & Toubro, Coal India and Attero Recycling. The scheme aims to create 6,000 tonnes per year of capacity split among five beneficiaries over a seven-year programme.
