IEA publishes in-depth review of Norway's critical minerals policies
The International Energy Agency released a country review of Norway's critical minerals policies, noting strong geological potential and expertise in processing, recycling and battery technology. It identified long permitting processes, the absence of a dedicated critical minerals policy document, limited public funding and incomplete geophysical mapping as gaps. Recommendations include clear sector targets, time-bound permitting, more risk-sharing finance, better mineral data and recycling targets.
