Law No. 145 of 2019 amending the Mineral Resources Law (Law No. 198 of 2014)

Rewrites much of the 2014 Mineral Resources Law, including licensing rules (small mine licences by EMRA's board; large or precious-metal exploitation only by law) and a royalty of 5% to 20% of annual production value set per ore by regulation. It also lets EMRA invite existing licensees to renegotiate onto the new rent and royalty terms. In force from the day after publication in the Official Gazette of 7 August 2019.
